Creating a temporary Toilet and Shower
If you recall from a previous post we had a building on the land which was used as an old toilet and shower.
before you say it , it looks terrible. I know......
We we decided to travel out for the weekend in September and get some work done, We had already painted one room and shipped a bed, mattress and TV. So we needed somewhere to wash and use the toilet.
We showered mostly at a nearby hotel using their facilities at the indoor pool changing rooms. But we also decided to do a quick job in the outdoor washroom as a temporary measure.
We painted it. bought a commode (although the toilet already there is connected to a soakaway and ok for numbers 1's , we didn't want to risk it with number 2's.
We bought a camping shower from decathlon, which is excellent , it was 40 euros. you have to pump it for pressure and its holds a lot of water, with really good pressure.
We made a shelf and a new door out of spare wood from the roof and bought a sink from Leroy Merlin (around 60 euros). and some cheap mirrors , toilet roll holder etc.
So we had a place to use the toilet , wash , shave & brush our teeth. This was really useful, to be honest I quite liked the rustic-ness of using it.
We had a slight problem with ants, as we discovered a nest under the washroom, so we also drafted in the services of a local Gecko.... problem solved.
