With the roofs now completed the next step was to tackle the old outdated electrics.
As the house was so old and had limited plug sockets we decided it would be best to have a full rewire of the house.
It was also important to get a certificate of compliance, stating that the electricity installation is in according to the law as this would be required by the local council if we was to, in the future, apply for a tourism licence to rent out our property.
In Portugal certain appliances must have their own fuses such as Microwaves, Ovens, Hoovers and Washing Machines
Having done various research online we decided to go with Marico at 'Electicalgave' as he had good reviews online, had very good knowledge and most importantly... Spoke english.
